Earlier this week I got to take a peek at how things were going with the Re:Form School show at the St. Patrick’s Cathedral School on Mott Street, and was just in awe of everything going on. To put the show in to perspective, it wasn’t enough to gather over 150 artists to exhibit, but they also converted the entire school from top to bottom for the show. Four floors plus the outside playground area are all newly renovated gallery and workshop spaces, with no detail spared… newly painted walls, custom painted chalkboards, a huge mural outside, and more art than you can shake a yard stick at. The new group show from the same people who organized Manifest Hope and Manifest Equality, have put together yet another amazing lineup for their latest upcoming exhibition, RE:FORM SCHOOL and are looking to add even more talented artists to the roster.

Our friend iO Tillett Wright is going to open her first solo exhibition, BREEDINGS, at Fuse Gallery in NY starting this Saturday, September 18th.
The show will be comprised of “roughly forty images from my work over the last two years, and organizedĀ into pairings that intend to inspire the imagination to invent a narrative, like a mini-movie. Like a good analog dinosaur, I have spent the summer printing all the work in the show myself, in a little darkroom in Chinatown, so the exhibition will carry special blood, sweat, and heart for me” More …
