I recently came across this great video via Kitsune Noir for one of Passenger’s new songs, Golden Thread, featuring illustration/ animation work from Mark Charlton. I think it’s a really nice balance of something soft and sweet with fun visuals.
Friday video time – have a great weekend!
I recently came across this great project from Beck called Record Club.
Record Club is an informal meeting of various musicians to record an album in a day. The album chosen to be reinterpreted is used as a framework. Nothing is rehearsed or arranged ahead of time. A track is put up here once a week. The songs are rough renditions, often first takes that document what happened over the course of a day as opposed to a polished rendering. There is no intention to ‘add to’ the original work or attempt to recreate the power of the original recording. Only to play music and document what happens.
A new music video from The NASA Project: “Strange Enough,” featuring Karen O. of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fatlip from Pharycyde, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Art by Stephan Doitschinoff (aka Calma).

Two things I very much like have finally come together… Jim Houser and vinyl records. Recently released with FREE NEWS PROJECTS, Jim’s record is a 6-track, 10″ record of his music accompanied by a 16-page booklet of images and artwork.
Great video for Department of Eagles song “Nobody Does It Like You,” directed by Marcel Dzama.
